Caitlyn also got some Disneyland items for her birthday from grandma Brems, as you can see, she's quite happy about it.

Summer, Come and Gone
Caitlyn learned how to climb up on our couches, as well as our kitchen chairs. So, we now have to be very vigil about watching her.

The Garden--Take 2
O.K. I know it wasn't long ago that I posted about our garden, but I happened to go out there today to check for strawberries, and I found some. Thank goodness we finally covered them in netting to keep the birds out!
(Strawberries)
I also noticed that all the plants had grown a couple of inches since I last wrote, so I thought I would take a few more pictures. (Zuchinni)
I also noticed while I was out there that there were quite a few weeds that had also grown a few inches (Darn it!). (watermelon-this is 1 plant)
Well when all was said and done, I thought it looked A LOT better, even though I was DRENCHED (literally) in sweat--it was a very humid day--and a little sunburned.

The Garden
Here is Meghan and Haley in our soon to be garden (the before picture)
Not too long after, we have the beginnings of zuchinni. . . Some potatoes (these are so fun to plant, because all you have to do is cut up some old potatoes that have 2-3 eyes per piece that you cut, go and bury them, and in about a week and 1/2 you have plants already growing--great if you have little patience, and like to see progress quickly). These had been growing for maybe 3 weeks.
watermelons, tomatoes and strawberries. So far, we've had many strawberries ripen up, but unfortunately the birds kept getting them. We finally went and got some bird netting to cover them. It's great fun to watch the flock of birds come and sit on the fence trying to determine just how they are going to get to the strawberries. This plant is actually one of the smaller ones, but when I took this picture, the birds had already eaten several of the other RIPE strawberries, so this was the only one left.
