More catching up

If you haven't read the prior post, please do so NOW!  If you have already read it, then we now continue with my catching up.  We had 2 birthdays, 1st was Meghan who turned the big 11.
Meghan asked for an Ice Cream Cake (boy do I love that girl).  It was delicious!!

She got some jewelry. . .
. . .and LOTS of books!!
Next was Lydia who turned the big 2--ok, not so big, but this girl packs a punch!
She got a shirt. . .

. . .a water baby from Grandma W. (which was good, because her and Caitlyn would fight over the other water baby that we owned)

. . .a phone from Grandma B., she loved talking on it!!
And another babydoll, this one makes sounds and sucks on her bottle.
Our next set of pictures are of Halloween and Christmas.

We had quite the characters for Halloween;  Hermoine from Harry Potter, a black cat, a cute witch and Cinderella (and Lydia was a bumblebee)

We had all the kids make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers and candy. (I hot glued all the houses together, then hot glued them to the plates, but the kiddos used frosting for the candy)

Adam's kids got into it too, although I must admit I didn't get a picture of Noah's house, because as soon as he finished building it, he started eating it and it was gone by the time I pulled out the camera.
It was fun to watch the level of imagination and how different each house was!

Time to Catch up!

I know this is a little weird to be reading about the beginning of school when it's nearly 1/2 way through, but oh, well, my bad!!  I am really behind in what's been happening in our family over the past several months, so here is the catch up.

My 3 musketeers getting ready to get on the bus for the 1st day of school.  Meghan is starting at the Intermediate School in 5th grade, while Haley is in 4th and Sadie is in 1st grade this year.
Here's what Caitlyn and I did while the girls were at school, she got dressed however she wanted (LOVE the red boots), and we made some chocolate chip cookies.

The next couple of days we decided to brave the HEAT and enjoy our days at the sprayground.  Lydia was in heaven!!

We had a FHE about saving our money so we could go to DisneyWorld, everyone helped donate "Dad's" $$  Aren't we all generous!!
And here's the other way I spend my days while the girls are at school, cleaning up after this little monkey.
She's so sneaky, I didn't even know she was doing this until it was too late.
We have an automatic soap dispenser which I love, but we have since had to move it out of this bathroom because this little girl also loves it.  She used probably about 1/3 of it.
Oh, and don't forget about the potty!  What's the deal with unwinding the toilet paper roll everytime she goes in there?
Don't ya just LOVE my cabinets?  Aren't they so organized,  oh wait they are so organized they have room for a great hiding spot!

This little girl definitely keeps me on my toes!!  She slid right in there, I heard a noise in there and saw her little feet. As you may have noticed that this was the only cabinet door without a safety lock, because there's not another door to hook to it.

The final time in Idaho

Lydia is such a ham, I actually have a picture of Caitlyn with this same headband on when she was about this age as well.
We just had to get an impromptu family picture for the Winter family Reunion (minus Whitney who was finishing packing and getting ready to leave, and Sanette who was taking the picture)
If  you know my dad, you know he NEVER lets his hair get very long, and never grows facial hair, however he was coerced into doing a play about Porter Rockwell, so he therefore spent many weeks growing his hair to play the part.
It was a fabulous play, and my dad (as Porter Rockwell) did a GREAT job (the white hair is not his--they had him wear a wig to add to the length)--I wish I had better pictures--he looked awesome!

The trek continues

Caitlyn, Noah, Sadie, Haley and Meghan at Mesa Falls near Island Park.

All the kids thought the Falls were pretty neat.

On the upper part of the Falls there was a cabin for visitors to look at animal pelts and other cool things.

At grandma's house we had a little craft time, so Noah and Grant got to break in the new playdough cake maker. . . .
. . . and the rest of the crew got to make beaded necklaces.
 Sadie--proud of her creation
 Noah--proud of his creation
 Grant--SUPER proud of his creation
Noah had so much fun creating, and he was definitely creative!!
The tradition when we visit grandma and grandpa is to go to Tautphus Park and ride the rides.
This year was extra fun because Adam's kids were also there to ride with us.
Sweet sisters, Sadie loves taking care of Lydia
The other tradition is feeding the ducks at the river by the Temple.
Or feeding ourselves if we're hungry ( I think Caitlyn ate just about all of her bread before she even got to the ducks.

3 goofy kids striking a pose

We had a great time in Idaho Falls!!
