Let's Celebrate!

O.K., I know I'm starting the year off right by being behind already in my posts, but here's what we did for New Year's Eve.
1st a little Guitar Hero to get everyone in the mood. Of course Sadie and Caitlyn are the groupies who love to get down and groovy to the tunes.

Then there's Meghan who's groups name is "The Blue Midgits", she is actually pretty good at it too.

Well, I guess Caitlyn just had to show her talent as well--Not bad for a 1 year old.

Next, we just had to let some firecrackers go. Thanks to dad who helped pull the strings literally.

A little more noise perhaps, because we just can't get enough.

And of course, what would New Year's Eve be without the goodies. So even though there's no pictures (I must've been too busy eating at the time), I'll tell you what we ate--chocolate fondue with fruit, little hotdogs in bar-b-que sauce, and sparkling apple cider.

A great way to start the New Year!

Peek-A-Boo

We were lucky enough to be able to visit with both sides of our family for Christmas this year. After spending some time with Brian's family, we got to spend a little time with my family--it was so great to get to see everyone!!

Caitlyn and Grandpa playing a rousing game of Peek-A-Boo.

Grandma selflessly playing horsey to Sadie, while at the same time being a monster for Aliese and Caitlyn.

This was Adam's Christmas present--a game of his choosing--and what did he choose, but Star Wars of course. And who should be the winner, yep, you guessed it--ADAM!! I USED to play games with him when I was younger, but I soon learned that if I wanted to actually WIN, I had to play someone else.

Ah, and another game was going on at the same time, Meghan came out victorious over Grandma in "Go, Go Giraffe" (grandma is such a good sport).

Christmas Day--Finally!!

Oh the anxiety of waiting. Finally the day is here--hurray!

So what's with all the sheets you may ask? Well, this is where Santa puts our gifts in the Brems family. Each sheet has a name of someone, and that's where their gifts go.

Here's what we got from Santa: Caitlyn

Sadie: Princess talking Kitchen (just in time to replace the kitchen mom sold on Craigslist)

Haley: Games

Meghan: Moon Sand, Aquarium

Me: Wii game (which will probably be played more by the girls, dvd players for the car--actually for Sadie and Caitlyn, but also for my sanity during the 18 hour trip home)

Then we checked out our stockings to see what cool things we got in those.

Then we got to open our actual Christmas presents (yes, it's a process. Very organized (and LONG in the Brems household, but it sure makes Christmas last longer!!). Here's the tree before we started.

Sadie got a BEAUTIFUL Snow White outfit, shoes and all! She pretty much wore it the rest of the week. Thanks G-ma Brems!

Cinderella and Snow White--too cute!

A ballerina in the making--Thanks G-ma Winter

Cute homemade tu-tu for Sadie, but Haley put it on to show us all how it looked--Thanks again G-ma Winter!!
And who could forget the little babies for Sadie and Caitlyn, complete with homemade bassinets (thanks G-pa Winter) and diaper bags full of diapers, hair things and clothes. Caitlyn loves her baby, and even sleeps with her.

All-in-all, a WONDERFUL Christmas!!!!!!!

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve is almost more fun to me than Christmas day. Here was our Christmas eve dinner: Pizza and soda.

Then the festivities begin. First, a mild game (or "wild" game depending on who you are) of NOEL.

This is the 1st time I've played with such a LARGE group--can you say "FUN"!!!

Then Mom threw in a new game. After NOEL, Dad read a story throwing in a bunch of "Left" and "Rights" with which we had to pass our new unwrapped gift that direction ending with a new gift completely.

Funny thing was, it seems as if just about everyone ended up with something that fit them perfectly!!
Grandpa is having fun with Sadie and Emma.
Thanks Grandpa for taking care of Caitlyn's baby.
We had so much fun in Arizona. Thanks everyone!!

Gingerbread House Contest

Thanks Emily for allowing us to use your place of residence as our Gingerbread House contest location.

The kiddos had a great time making (and eating) these beauties!

Oh, and even some of the "big" kids got into the action.

Aunt Cheryl's

What fun!! We came out to ride horses and go caroling, and ended up getting rained on--phooey! But that never stopped us from enjoying ourselves!!

The girls loved watching the horses, and yes Meghan and Haley had the chance to ride BAREBACK for about 5 min. They loved it--thanks Logan and Colton!
Well, at least Haley got to ride a horse, and Sadie got to fly a plane.
We did get rained out, but we still had lots of goodies and enjoyed socializing with friends and family--Thanks Cheryl and Ed for letting us come out!!

What a pleasant sight

It has been kinda chilly the past couple of mornings, so I've been putting Caitlyn in long pajamas. I heard Caitlyn one morning after she woke up. When I went in, this was what I found.

NO PAJAMAS!!
Not only no pajamas, but she was bouncing like crazy in her bed. Needless to say, we now use a safety pin in the zipper to keep them on.
