Nice Shiner!

Brian has been playing indoor soccer every Tues. night for the past year or so, and he has had a couple of other injuries, but this one takes the cake!

He and another guy from the other team were attempting to go for the ball, and they collided. Well, Brian took the brunt of that collision and not only did he get a beautiful black eye, but he also had to get 3 stitches underneath, and 10 stitches on top (thank goodness one of his teammates is a family Dr. and he told Brian just to come over to his office afterward so he could stitch him up--thanks Doug!!).

Even though he looked awful for the next week, he still LOVES playing with his team, and they even won the championship--way to go RED CHAOS!

THERE WERE 4 IN A BED. . .
My 4 little sweeties all in a row. Brian snapped this cute little picture on a Sunday afternoon. We love to see them all with happy faces at the same time.
GOING TO CHINA?
Recently we had some good friends move to China. They gave each of the girls an authentic Chinese dress and shoes. Sadie LOVES to wear hers. She wore it to church and had many compliments.
Since they were leaving they ended up giving us many things that they could not take with them.
This porch swing is one of our family's favorites! The girls love to swing on it, and so do I. Thank you so much Linda, Tim and Terry!!

Birthday remembrance

Haley had a birthday at the end of March. She turned the big 7. We just love her sweet little addicting smile--Love ya Haley! Poor little Haley had a special little cake this year because mom was still feeling kinda yucky (thanks dad for thinking of this). Everyone actually enjoyed these very much because we each got our very own little bowl cake!!

I also had a birthday at the end of April. My presents were going out to dinner with only Brian, and having some delicious ice cream cake (that I made--yum, yum). Yeah, but enough of that.

Feeling Better

Since I'm finally feeling better, I can once again blog (phew, it's about time). Needless to say, now I have to play catch-up. Sorry for the randomness :)

Here are some pictures of Meghan and Haley playing soccer last month. We decided to try out the "Y" (YMCA) this year, and I am very impressed with how it went. The girls loved it and vow to take it again in the Fall.

Haley after their team scored a goal (she's green #2). The boy on the left was the one who scored the goal.
Meghan's dance team went to a competition and won a beautiful trophy. This is her group with Miss Bonnie one of the dance instructors.

The Saturday before Easter our friends held a HUGE easter egg hunt for the children in our Primary. They had something like 1500 eggs hid in their backyard.

The first to go were the little ones. Sadie even found a gold egg (it had $1 in change in it). Sadie and Caitlyn found a lot of eggs, as did Meghan and Haley (they were running around crazy, so I didn't get very many pictures of them).

Well, now we know how they found so many--thanks dad!

We've Got Talent, Yes We Do!

We love the TuTu, grandma and Caitlyn just LOVES her picture being taken
We had a primary talent show back in FEBRUARY (yeah I know it's April) and each of the girls decided to take part.
Meghan played a primary song (my memory right now can't recall which one).

Haley decided to sing (which surprised me, because I didn't even realize she enjoyed singing, but she is actually REALLY good!

Sadie showed us her wonderful somersaults. . .

. . . and Caitlyn busted a move for us--she loves dancing!!

I'm just going to throw in some other pictures here, that I never put up, but really liked.

Good sisters, good friends

These are the awards that Meghan and Haley received after playing the piano for their Technical section of Skills Festival.
Meghan also got another 2 blue ribbons and Haley also got 2 blue ribbons for the 2nd half of the Festival (I can't recall what it was, but I know they had to play 2 songs). Meghan also got an "Outstanding Musician Award" trophy.

Egyptian Flu?

Well, surprise, surprise--yep, if you haven't guessed, we are expecting again! Baby #5 should be due around Oct. 6th.
We are all very excited, now if I can just get past this horrible ALL DAY nauseous feeling, maybe our household can get back into the regular swing of things (THANKS Brian for doing the dishes).

So I guess the next question on everyone's mind is. . . will it be a boy? I would love to have a boy, but I would not hesitate taking another sweet little girl (at least I know how to deal with them now).
As of right now, I do not plan on finding out what we are having, and if I have my way, neither will Brian. Although he has told me that he's finding out (we'll see--it's a long drive from Athens to Tyler).
Needless to say, I can hardely stand to be in front of the computer for very long, it makes me feel very queezy, so my blogging might be at a stand still for a little while, I will do my best though to keep up on everyone elses blogs.

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!!!!

O.K. so I'm a wee bit excited. After almost 11 years of marriage, we finally have our very own baby grand piano (granted it is used, but we got a great deal, and it's in great condition--THANKS craigslist). Although, I probably wouldn't care if it was a dumpy old upright. But, never-the-less we have our OWN piano!!!
This means that we can finally take down our little electric piano, and the girls can finally learn how to use pedals.
Oooooooooo, I'm just so excited. Caitlyn and Sadie already showed how excited they were, Caitlyn didn't want to go down for a nap, because she wanted "to pway" the piano.
I'm also excited, because we now officially can use our "dining room" for something.

Happy, Happy Birthday Grandma!!

It's that time of year again, yep you guessed it--Valentines and President's Day--oh, and that reminds me, it's also Grandma Winter's Birthday!!
We love her for all her joy and love and dedication to the family! Thank you for setting such a great example in all you do. I'm so proud to have you as a mother. Thank you for teaching us the gospel, how to pray and read the scriptures and thank you for living righteously so that we know how to do it as well!
We love you and honor you on this day--Happy Birthday mom!!!!
